| William Tell is apparently a Swiss national hero. When he defied the Austrian government in the 13th century he was forced to shoot an apple off his sons head. He succeeded and then ambushed (from hiding) and killed the governor. Though his actual existence is disputed unlike some other Famous Archers (Legolas, Skippy) he deserves a spot among the greats! |
